OLIVIA BINKLEY / SENIOR PORTRAIT Session
Olivia's senior portrait session might be one of my all time favorites. A McCracken County student, she came in early in the season and we were able to play with a few ideas, and really take the time to make some unique pictures. We took pictures both indoors and outdoors. I've always felt that our studio work really gives our senior portrait clients portfolios a sense of continuity and cohesiveness. It also gives great variety to the photography itself. Conceptually the photo above came from the idea of taking something overdone, reinterpreting it, and making it our own. I've been asked countless times how the portrait above was created and thought I'd give everyone a quick run through on the process! Thanks for reading! How Was it Made?
Creating this photograph started with a tripod. We setup the photo's composition and had Olivia standing in a chair, a ladder may have been a better choice though! By the time it was all said and done we actually ended up moving Olivia higher in the frame to make the shot more dramatic.
We ended up using four images to create the final in post production. One photograph for Olivia, the balloons, the background, and the foot.
Some intense Photoshop went into making the composite as seamless as possible. The hardest part to get perfect was by far the balloons.
